We really enjoy living in this area because of the peaceful surroundings. We particularly like having the creek behind our house and the proximity to Joyner park. You can even hear the occasional owl, and of course the birds. This area is not congested and we appreciate this.

The neighbors are friendly and helpful, and we all look out for each other.

What grocery stores and other conveniences are close to your home?

Harris Teeter is less than 10 minutes away, as well as Lowes Foods, Kohls, and Michaels, in addition to various smaller stores.

Are there any annual events you look forward to attending each year?

I enjoy participating in the Velo4Yellow bike charity ride, which runs through the back country roads near our neighborhood.

We purchased our home so that our children could enjoy the spacious house, yard, creek, and the peaceful surroundings as they grew up. They have spent countless hours catching crayfish and trying to fish in the creek. They have built forts and climbed trees in the woods. The neighborhood is just the right size for trick-or-treating, and is safe for children bike riding, rollerblading, and playing in the street since there are two cul-de-sacs and the main road is a dead end. 

The house is spacious and has provided adequate room for our 5-person family. We have made many wonderful memories and now, as our kids are growing up and starting to drive, we are moving to a location closer to their high school. We will miss our wonderful woods, yard, and neighbors, and hope you enjoy the neighborhood and surroundings as much as we have.
